What is PVC?
Polyvinyl chloride, referred to as PVC in English. PVC is available in two types: hard (sometimes abbreviated as RPVC) and soft.
The use of hard polyvinyl chloride (PVC medicinal hard sheet) as a means of protecting medicines has been formed for many years. PVC is used in PTP aluminum-plastic packaging, providing consumers with a wide range of benefits, such as product visibility, barrier and protection, ease of use and adaptability. Polymer single-layer polyvinyl chloride hard sheets are usually used in products with low barrier requirements, such as solid oral food and medicine (such as capsules, tablets, and injections. The outer packaging of oral liquid bottles). In higher barrier packaging applications, such as large tablets (higher moisture absorption drugs), copolymer grade PVDC products are recommended.
Medicinal PVC rigid film is one of the most commonly used and most cost-effective pharmaceutical packaging materials. The material has good blister effect and rich colors, and is the first choice for packaging medicines that do not require high barrier effects. At present, the development trend of PTP aluminum-plastic blister packaging abroad is also mainly PVC rigid films, and the development prospects are very promising.
